Pleasant Hill Preserve Trails
Scarborough, Maine
Pleasant Hill Preserve is a 135-acre parcel managed by the Scarborough Land Trust, located between a dense residential neighborhood and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. Our team worked closely with design-build trail specialists at OBP Trailworks to develop master plan for the property. The plan included a trail network to provides access to this significant natural resource, designed to lead visitors through a remarkable series of natural experiences identified on the property.
The plan include a phased approach to build-out, allowing a gradual implementation of the proposed trail network. The first phase of trail construction was the establishment of a one-mile barrier-free accessible trail.
