Riverside Cremation Garden
Yarmouth, Maine
A cremation garden was established within Riverside Cemetery to serve the increasing demand for this type of burial and provide a place for reflection within the cemetery. The central feature of the garden is a curved niche wall around a circular ceremonial space. An accessible trail is interwoven around the site and through the adjacent woods. Planted garden beds scattered with boulders are surrounded by cremation burial sites.
